As our Club only has outdoor courts at this time of the year in the UK it can seem like Tennis on Ice.
The clubs men’s practice night is on a Wednesday night from 8 pm onwards which in the winter months means that sometimes we can’t play because the courts have iced up.
Two Wednesdays ago we had two hazards on the courts. Of our four courts only one was playable because of the others frosting up and the other hazard was a fox which had decided to wander across one of the courts (thankfully one of the frosted one) which meant we didn’t feel like going there.
Anyway I hope that the winter will not be too severe and thus permit play all the way through but I have a feeling its going to be a very cold one.
