As a Volkl tennis racquet user I naturally keep an eye on developments there and in the past few years there has been quite a lot of change at Volkl.
Firstly Boris Becker joined the organisation and then he proceeded to by half of it. Clearly having a tennis great working at the organisation is a good thing but I became worried about a small company stretching it’s self too thinly when it was announced that they would also produce a Boris Becker range of equipment and clothing.
The reason for this concern is simply that Volkl has always been quite a small player in the the world of tennis equipment and I thought that it might prove too much to continue the Volkl brand as well as develop the Becker one.
Sure enough the last last twelve months would appear to have seen a lot of development of the Becker range which has now expanded to a Becker 11 as can be seen here.
But I’m glad to be able to report Volkl has now launched the power bridge range of racquets see here. These appear to be a development of the previous DNX range. If an when I manage to play test one I will try to compare it to my V enging 10. Mr BH
